Spider-Noir swings into release and keeps Marvel’s 2026 hot streak blazing—but the year’s biggest comic-book fireworks may still be ahead. The MCU, backbone of the genre since 2008, continues to roll out crowd-pleasing movies and series with more on deck.

Spider- Noir just landed and did the thing: another 2026 Marvel swing actually connected. And here is the fun part — it is not just the MCU holding the line anymore. Since 2008, Marvel Studios has been the backbone of the superhero machine, cranking out movies and shows that defined the era. But the rest of the Marvel sandbox is now catching up fast. Some non-MCU projects are performing on par with the flagship stuff — sometimes better — which tells you audiences want more than one flavor. Spider-Noir is the latest proof of that.

And the year is not done. The back half of 2026 is stacked with more Marvel on both big and small screens. Some of this is locked, some of it is the industry equivalent of penciled in. Either way, here is what is supposed to hit before we flip the calendar. Dates change, of course, because they always do.

What is still coming in 2026

  • Spider-Man: Brand New Day ( July 31, theaters )
Picking up Peter Parker's MCU story right where 2021's No Way Home left him, this one repositions Spidey as a more street-level hero again. Also on deck: Mark Ruffalo 's Hulk and Jon Bernthal 's Punisher popping in, which is a combo plate I did not have on my bingo card but I am not complaining. One of 2026's most-watched releases for obvious reasons.
  • Avengers: Doomsday (December 18, theaters)
Seven years after Endgame, the Avengers are finally back on the big screen — new lineup, familiar faces returning, and at least a couple of fresh heroes making their MCU debuts. This is currently positioned as the last Marvel movie to hit in 2026.
  • X-Men '97 Season 2 (Summer 2026, streaming )
The first season was both a continuation of and a love letter to the classic 90s animated series, and it clicked in a big way. Season 2 arrives this summer to keep that momentum going.
  • Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 (Fall 2026, animated)
It may not be everyone's pick for the best animated Spidey, but it landed well enough to score a quick renewal. Season 2 picks up right where the first left off and brings in Gwen Stacy as Ghost Spider and, yes, Venom. That alone has fans circling the date for fall.
  • VisionQuest (October 14, Disney+ )
After years in development, Vision finally gets his follow-up. He has not appeared in the main MCU timeline since WandaVision, so his return — alongside some heavy-duty villains and other notable players — is one of the fall's big curiosity points.

Bottom line: between the MCU tentpoles and the projects living just outside that umbrella, the rest of 2026 is busy. If Spider-Noir proved anything, it is that Marvel does not have to stay in one lane to draw a crowd — and the next few months look built to keep testing that theory.
