Bet placed: Adria Arjona puts $500 on Wonder Woman question amid ‘Man of Tomorrow’ rumors
Adria Arjona just spiced up the Man of Tomorrow casting chatter by betting on whether she’s playing Wonder Woman.
On Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Adria Arjona didn’t dodge the question that keeps trailing her: is she the new Wonder Woman in Man of Tomorrow? When Horowitz pushed his theory, he literally put money on it, and Arjona quickly turned the moment into a friendly wager for charity.
“It feels like you're going to lose either way. You're giving me $500. I'll take this bet… I like the charity element of it. You want We'll take that bet. $500 you donate to one of my charities,”
Rather than shut it down, Arjona upped the stakes by floating Maxima as a counter-guess, asking for the bet to cut both ways on the show. She’s previously said she knew exactly which character she was auditioning for — she’s just not sharing that name yet.
Why the rumor won’t die
Part of the intrigue is coming straight from the top: James Gunn has publicly said Arjona would make a great Diana, while stressing that early chatter about her wasn’t a casting confirmation — more a reflection of their existing working relationship. Add to that Arjona’s intense prep for Man of Tomorrow and the guessing game keeps rolling.
Her current training plan, which she’s shown off online, includes about 45 minutes of cardio, two hours of weightlifting and six rounds of boxing — plenty of fuel for fans reading tea leaves, even if a rigorous regimen isn’t proof of the character she’s playing.
A busy run for Arjona
The wager lands in the middle of a streak that’s pushed Arjona deeper into both big franchises and sharp genre pieces. She’s already crossed into a galaxy far, far away and scored a breakout in a Netflix hit, and her next set of projects keeps widening the lane.
