How to watch 9/11: United We Stand – 25 Years Later, Michael Strahan’s 2-hour special
Trying to catch 9/11: United We Stand – 25 Years Later, Michael Strahan’s two-hour special on America’s healing after September 11, but not sure where to watch?
ABC News Studios is stitching together a very specific portrait of the months after 9/11 with 9/11: United We Stand – 25 Years Later — not a replay of the day itself, but the way packed stadiums, Broadway stages, comedy clubs and nightly broadcasts helped people reconnect. The two-hour special blends rarely seen archival footage with first-person accounts to show how shared moments of joy and ritual became part of the recovery.
It ’s hosted by Michael Strahan, who brings his own New York perspective as a former Giants star. He looks back on returning to the field in the fall of 2001 and what those Sundays meant for fans craving normalcy and a place to come together.
Who’s in it
The interview lineup spans sports, music, theater, comedy and news — the folks who were on the field, on stage and on air as the country tried to heal:
- Derek Jeter — MLB icon
- Jon Bon Jovi — musician
- Matthew Broderick — actor
- Billy Crystal — comedian and actor
- Pete Davidson — comedian
- Jimmy Fallon — late-night host
- Mark Messier — NHL great
- Jon Stewart — comedian and host
- Robin Roberts — GMA anchor
