Peacock is front-loading April: most of the month’s movies are already streaming, and the just-landed Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 joins the lineup — after the original became a massive hit despite a day-and-date Peacock drop.

Peacock loaded up the front half of April 2026 with new movies, which is a nice way of saying most of the good stuff has already landed. One big exception just dropped: Five Nights at Freddy's 2. The first movie was a shockingly huge hit even though it opened in theaters the same day it hit Peacock, so yes, the sequel showing up on streaming this fast is a big deal. If you want a quick weekend watch list, here are three picks worth your couch time: the new FNAF sequel, an over-the-top 90s comedy that still kills, and a very odd (and oddly charming) animated music biopic.

  • 'Five Nights at Freddy's 2' (2025 )

The sequel kicks off in 2002, two years after the first film. Yes, that timestamp is surprising, but the setup is this: the kids murdered by William Afton (Matthew Lillard) possessed his animatronics and got their revenge. Or at least that is what Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson) would really like to believe.

Mike is not about to rebuild those things, no matter how much his younger sister Abby (Piper Rubio) begs. She wants her friends back; he wants everyone to stay alive. He is also starting to side-eye Officer Vanessa Shelly (Elizabeth Lail) a lot harder now that he is putting together just how much Afton's daughter knew about her dad's rampage.

Meanwhile, Toy Chica (voiced by Megan Fox) and the Marionette lure Abby to one of the original locations to spark a fresh wave of animatronic mayhem. And this time, there is zero promise the Schmidt family walks away unscathed.

  • 'Liar Liar' (1997)

Jim Carrey in full rubber-faced mode as Fletcher Reede, a hotshot attorney and world-class liar whose personal life is a smoking crater because of it. His ex, Audrey (Maura Tierney), is over it. His son, Max (Justin Cooper), makes a birthday wish that Dad cannot tell a lie for 24 hours... and the wish actually sticks.

Of course this happens on the exact day Fletcher needs to finesse a high-profile divorce case in court. He has to be 100% truthful about everything, and no amount of self-sabotage (including literally trying to beat the curse out of himself) can break it. Peak Carrey chaos, still very funny.

  • 'Piece by Piece' (2024)

File this under pleasantly weird: a Lego-animated music biopic about Pharrell Williams, with Pharrell voicing himself. The movie walks through his career highs, the stumbles, and the self-reinvention it took to keep moving. His wife Helen Lasichanh and his parents also voice themselves, which adds a neat personal touch.

The guest list is stacked: Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliott, Jay-Z, and more all show up as themselves. The story gives plenty of credit to the friends who helped along the way, but the point is clear — at some stage, Pharrell has to define his own lane to be happy with where he ends up.
