Movie fans have a rare opportunity to own authentic memorabilia from a blockbuster film, all while making a difference. Scarlett Johansson and her fellow cast members from Jurassic World Rebirth are auctioning off select costumes and props, including the outfit worn by Johansson’s character, to raise funds for the World Food Program.
Exclusive Movie Props Up for Grabs
In a recent video, Johansson and her co-stars announced their support for the World Food Program, the world’s leading organization fighting hunger.
“Hi everyone, we are the cast of ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ and we are excited to come together to support the World Food Program, the leading hunger-fighting organization on Earth.”
Jonathan Bailey, who stars alongside Johansson, shared that fans can place bids on “exclusive costumes and props” straight from the set. Audrian Miranda, who played the youngest Delgado, emphasized the authenticity of the items, saying they are “not replicas, not ‘We found this in the storage closet’. Real, one-of-a-kind pieces that will never be released to the public.” Luna Blaise, Bechir Sylvain, and Mahershala Ali also appeared in the announcement, encouraging fans to participate.
How Much Are the Items Fetching?
Johansson’s screen-worn wardrobe, as her character Zora Bennett, is a highlight of the auction. According to the listing,
“This authentic piece of apparel, verified by a trusted authenticator, serves as a remarkable collector’s item for any film enthusiast or admirer of Scarlett Johansson’s illustrious career.”
The starting estimate for the outfit was $1,000, but bidding has already reached $1,850. Other unique items include a dinosaur fetus prop, currently at $3,000, and Bechir Sylvain’s costume, with the top bid at $375. The auction closes on December 18, with staggered end times for each item.
Johansson’s Ongoing Philanthropy
Beyond her film career, Johansson is recognized as the highest-grossing actor worldwide and was the top-earning actress in 2019. Jurassic World Rebirth alone grossed $868 million at the box office. Despite her financial success, Johansson is deeply committed to giving back. She has supported 30 charities and 23 causes, including time spent in Kenya as a former Oxfam ambassador, and visits to India and Sri Lanka to work on education, healthcare, and domestic violence initiatives. She’s also helped victims of Hurricane Katrina and raised awareness about AIDS in Rwanda, where she spent several days at clinics. Johansson has donated thousands of shoes through Souls4Soles and backed organizations like Aid Still Required, Feeding America, Keep A Child Alive, Wish Upon A Hero Foundation, and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
Fans interested in supporting the cause and owning a piece of film history can place their bids before the auction ends. Jurassic World Rebirth is available to stream on Peacock.
