After snagging an Emmy, South Park capped the moment with a pointed jab — and you know exactly who got hit.
Minutes after celebrating in Los Angeles, the official South Park account posted a new gag aimed squarely at Donald Trump: a cartoon Trump, pants around his ankles, clutching an Emmy. The on-image text delivered the punchline.
"You finally got your Emmy."
The jab followed the show’s win for Outstanding Animated Program at the 78th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sunday. The same post also congratulated creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and “the entire South Park team” on the victory — a very South Park mix of victory lap and needle.
On-screen jabs, then a social one
The Emmy-night post capped a stretch where the series leaned into Trump as a target. Last year’s Season 27, which ran July through September, repeatedly went after the former president. The premiere, titled Sermon on the ’Mount, depicted Trump in bed with Satan, and the season’s storyline revolved around the two getting pregnant — classic, boundary-blurring South Park provocation.
According to the report, a statement attributed to White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers dismissed the show after that season premiere, arguing it had lost cultural relevance and was chasing attention. South Park, for its part, has long described itself as an “equal opportunity offender,” and the latest post doubled down on that posture.
A long-running Emmy sore spot
