Just months before Evil Dead Burn hits theaters, New Line Cinema and Sony Pictures have revealed plans for another chilling installment. With a star-studded cast and a secretive plot, horror fans have plenty to look forward to.

With Evil Dead Burn still six months away from its theatrical debut, New Line Cinema and Sony Pictures have already given the green light to another entry in the iconic horror series. The upcoming project will be helmed by Los Angeles-based director Francis Galluppi, who is also set to pen the script. This move follows the impressive box office performance of Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise, which raked in $147 million worldwide in 2023.

Fans of the genre will spot some familiar faces in the cast. Charlotte Hope, known for her role in The Nun, joins the lineup alongside Ella Newton from Dangerous Animals and Zach Gilford, a frequent collaborator of Mike Flanagan. The supporting cast features Jessica McNamee (Mortal Kombat), Josh Helman (Mad Max: Fury Road), Ella Oliphant, and Elizabeth Cullen (The Last Anniversary ).

Production Team and Franchise Legacy

Lee Cronin, who directed the previous installment, will serve as a producer for the new film, working with Rob Tapert, Romel Adam, Jose Cañas, Sam Raimi, and Bruce Campbell. Campbell, who famously portrayed Ash Williams, the original hero of the series, continues to play a key role behind the scenes.

Details about the plot remain tightly under wraps. However, it ’s safe to expect the story will revolve around a group of unsuspecting characters who stumble upon a version of the Necronomicon, unleashing a horde of Kandarian demons and facing off against the relentless Deadites.

Anticipation Builds for Evil Dead Burn

While the new film is still in early development, horror enthusiasts can look forward to Sébastien Vaniček’s Evil Dead Burn, set to premiere on July 24. The cast includes Souheila Yacoub, Luciane Buchanan, Tandi Wright, George Pullar, and Hunter Doohan, known for his role in Wednesday.

Vaniček has described his vision for the film as particularly intense.

“I told the studio that I wanted to make a nasty film, a film that hurts, from which you come away tested,”

he shared.

“I’m going to put all the horror I have inside, it will be cathartic, and if I haven’t ruined my career and I can continue to make films behind it, I will move on to something other than horror!”
