Who’s Who in Toy Story 5: The Ultimate Cast and Character Guide
Roll call for Toy Story 5: the full cast is out—see who’s playing whom, which stars are back, and the surprise voices joining the gang.
We are, somehow, already back in the toy box. After nearly seven years since Toy Story 4 sent Woody off on his own path, Toy Story 5 is a few days away and pulling the gang back together — with some unexpected new faces and one villain that is very 2026.
Who is talking this time
- Tom Hanks returns as Sheriff Woody, reunited with the crew after choosing a life with Bo Peep and helping lost toys in the last movie.
- Tim Allen is back as Buzz Lightyear, Woody's best friend and perennial voice of reason... when he is not being extremely literal.
- Joan Cusack once again voices Jessie, now running Bonnie's room since Woody left in Toy Story 4.
- Annie Potts continues as Bo Peep, who vanished after the first film and resurfaced in 4 with a whole new outlook.
- Tony Hale returns as Forky, existential crisis still pending.
- Blake Clark is Slinky Dog; Wallace Shawn is Rex; John Ratzenberger is Hamm. The comfort-food trio.
- New voices: Bad Bunny as Pizza with Sunglasses (yes, that is a character name), Greta Lee as Lilypad 'Lily' (more on that in a second), Alan Cumming as Bullseye (the horse finally talks), Craig Robinson as Atlas, and Conan O'Brien as Smarty Pants.
So what are they up against?
Not a yard sale, not a daycare, not a creepy antique shop. This time the toys are squaring off with screens — specifically, Bonnie's shiny new smart tablet, a gadget called Lilypad. Andrew Stanton is in the director 's chair, and the story centers on Woody, Buzz, and Jessie realizing their old-school playtime is getting pushed out.
Lilypad is not just a device in the background. It becomes a presence in Bonnie's life — it lets her game, chat with friends, and (here's the ominous bit) starts nudging her toward the idea that she is growing out of her toys. In other words: the toys are fighting for their literal relevance.
Little surprises the internet noticed
A clip that dropped on June 4 made the rounds for a quick gag revealing Woody's... increasingly airy hairline. If you ever wondered what a cowboy doll's scalp looks like under that hat, you are apparently getting answers.
Also, there is a first-look image of Emily — Jessie's original owner — popping up this week. That is a deep-pull character to spotlight, and it hints the film might be digging into Jessie’s history while the present-day Lilypad drama unfolds.
When you can see it
Toy Story 5 hits theaters on June 19, 2026.
Between the returning favorites, a handful of wild new toys (Pizza with Sunglasses? Sure, why not), and a premise that puts analog childhood head-to-head with a very chatty tablet, this one is aiming straight at both your nostalgia and your screen-time guilt. And yes, giving Bullseye a voice is a choice — curious to see how that plays.
