Season 8 premiered Tuesday, January 6, 2026 on TLC and ran through its finale on March 10, picking up with Amy and Tammy Slaton barely on speaking terms. The wedding
Amy married Brian Lovvorn in a Halloween-themed October 2025 ceremony at Talbott Tavern in Bardstown, Kentucky — a historic inn reputed to be haunted, and the consolation venue after her dream location, the Waverly Hills Sanatorium, couldn't accommodate the Halloween date. The finale delivered the season's actual payoff: Tammy showed up after weeks on the fence, apologized before the ceremony, and the sisters agreed to move forward. Then Amy got married, Brian danced badly, and the family behaved almost normally for an entire reception.
Where things stand now
The cancellation rumors that swirled through 2025 — fueled partly by Tammy liking fan comments about the show being axed — turned out to be wrong.
