Was She Asked Back? Virgin River Star Stacey Farber Sets the Record Straight After Major Cast Exits
After a wave of exits, Virgin River alum Stacey Farber says she hasn’t heard if she’ll be back—but with past surprise comebacks and clear affection for the show, the door isn’t closed.
If you were hoping Stacey Farber might pop back into Virgin River soon, you are not the only one waiting on that call. The Tara actress says she has no update yet — but the door is definitely not closed.
So... is Stacey Farber coming back to Virgin River?
"I haven't heard. It 's always a surprise."
That is Farber, 38, on where things stand right now. She told Us Weekly she has left the show and returned before, and she would love to do it again. She also pointed out the series just rolled out a new season and that Virgin River sometimes shoots far ahead of what we see, so even she is not sure if production has already moved on without her this time. Translation: nothing to announce, but she is into the idea.
Meanwhile, the cast is still in flux
Season 7 premiered in March and immediately said goodbye to a couple of staples: Mike (Marco Grazzini) and Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) were written out. Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith told Deadline he is thinking long-term — meaning the characters who stick around need enough story fuel to justify it. He would not tease specific shakeups, but he did say that as storylines wrap, the show will make some choices and bring in "new blood."
- Mike Valenzuela (Marco Grazzini) — written out in Season 7
- Charmaine Roberts (Lauren Hammersley) — written out in Season 7
- Ricky (Grayson Gurnsey) — exited after Season 4
- Cameron (Mark Ghanime) — left after Season 6
Quick refresher
Virgin River is adapted from Robyn Carr's book series and follows the lives, romances, and messes of a tight-knit Northern California town. If you like small-town drama that quietly escalates into absolutely everything, that is the lane.
What Farber is up to right now
Outside Virgin River, Farber has been busy. She stars in Hallmark's 'I'll Be Seeing You' opposite Tyler Hynes and Christine Ebersole. Her character? A textbook work-first, life-later type who visits her grandmother in California. Right then, her boss calls with a deal she needs to close down the coast. Grandma seizes the moment and pitches a girls road trip with her best friend. Cue a flat tire, which is how Hynes's character, Mark, enters — to help, flirt, and deliver some gentle lectures about loosening your grip on work and actually enjoying your life.
