A brand-new My Hero Academia special is set for 2026, wrapping up the manga adaptation and launching a global concert tour for the anime’s 10th anniversary. The episode will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll outside Asia.

Fans of My Hero Academia have something big to look forward to in 2026. The beloved anime is gearing up for a special episode that will bring Kohei Horikoshi’s original manga to a close on screen. This new installment, titled 'More,' will pick up eight years after the events of the final season, giving viewers a chance to see how their favorite heroes have grown since graduating from U.A. High School. The episode adapts Chapter 431 of the manga and is scheduled to premiere on May 2, perfectly timed to celebrate the show’s 10th anniversary since its debut in April 2016. For those outside Asia, the special will be available exclusively on Crunchyroll.

Looking Beyond the Final Season

While the last episode of season 8 already offered a heartfelt epilogue, this upcoming special promises to dive even deeper into the futures of Bakugo, Todoroki, Uraraka, and the rest of the crew. After eight seasons and 170 episodes, this final chapter will serve as a true farewell to the story that has captivated fans for a decade. The new episode aims to answer lingering questions and provide closure for longtime viewers, making it a must-watch for anyone who’s followed the journey from the start.

Anniversary Concert Tour Announced

In addition to the special episode, a worldwide concert tour called My Hero Academia in Concert is set to launch in honor of the series’ milestone anniversary. The tour will kick off on May 30, 2026, at Pacifico Yokohama before heading to international venues. Fans can expect to experience composer Yuki Hayashi’s iconic music performed live, paired with memorable scenes from the anime.

“We are incredibly proud to celebrate ten years of ‘My Hero Academia’ with fans around the world,”

a Toho spokesperson shared following the announcement at Jump Festa 2026.

“This milestone represents not only a decade of unforgettable stories, heroic characters, and epic battles, but also the incredible support and passion of our global audience.”

The Franchise Lives On

Even though the main series has wrapped up, the My Hero Academia universe is far from finished. Earlier this year, the spin-off and prequel My Hero Academia: Vigilantes made its debut, keeping the spirit of the franchise alive. Meanwhile, Netflix is working on a live-action adaptation, with the manga’s creator playing an active role in the project. With new content and celebrations on the horizon, fans can rest assured that the world of heroes will continue to inspire for years to come.
