Meet the Office Romance Cast Driving Netflix’s Next Rom-Com Craze
Netflix drops a flirty new poster for Office Romance ahead of its June 5 debut — meet the cast poised to ignite this rom-com.
Netflix just dropped a fresh poster for its summer rom-com Office Romance, and yep, it is very much about two people who should not hook up at work and absolutely do anyway. The movie hits June 5, and the art leans into a slick, corporate vibe that screams high-stakes HR meeting with feelings.
What the new poster is selling
The setup is simple: a high-pressure office where a supposedly professional relationship gets messy fast. Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein play the type of laser-focused workaholics who swear they can keep it together, right up until the boardroom starts feeling like a date night. It is glossy, it is flirty, and it looks like it is having fun with the whole no-romance-at-work rule.
"Office Romance premieres June 5"
Who is in it
Lopez is Jackie Cruz, a no-nonsense CEO who also pilots her own airline. Her management style? Brutal efficiency. Think: a zero-tolerance policy for distractions, up to and including the sound of anyone breathing too close. Goldstein is Daniel Blanchflower, the company’s new lawyer who gets pulled into a risky relationship with his boss. From there, the cast goes deep with familiar faces from comedy and drama, which is part of why this thing is buzzing.

How it came together
Brett Goldstein co-wrote the script with Joe Kelly for Netflix. Casting kicked off early: Betty Gilpin joined in February 2025. Edward James Olmos signed on the next month, reuniting with Lopez for the first time since they worked together on Selena. In April 2025, the roster expanded again with Bradley Whitford, Amy Sedaris, and Tony Hale.
On the producing side, Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett are on board for Ryder Picture Company. Lopez, Goldstein, and Kelly are also producing, alongside Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina through Nuyorican Productions under its first-look deal with Netflix. Executive producers include Pamela Thur and Courtney Baxter.
Why this might hit
Pairing Lopez with Goldstein is a smart swing: she knows her way around a rom-com, and he brings that sharp, dry edge. Add in comedy ringers like Sedaris, Hale, Sasso, plus steady hands like Whitford and Olmos, and you have a stacked ensemble built to sell both the romance and the chaos that comes with mixing it with office politics. With the June 5 premiere around the corner, the chatter has shifted from the sleek look of the poster to who is about to steal the movie. My money is on at least one supporting player turning a two-scene bit into a highlight.
