Meghan Markle ‘The Gentlemen’ casting buzz ends after Theo James weighs in

Asked point-blank in a new interview published by Deadline on September 3, Theo James didn’t bite on the chatter that Meghan Markle could pop up in a potential third season of The Gentlemen. With the show’s second season hitting Netflix the same day, James said the focus is firmly on what’s out now — and that a Season 3 isn’t even taking shape yet.

“I think that’s unlikely.”

He kept the spotlight on the current run, telling Deadline he isn’t looking past the new episodes.

“I want to concentrate on Season 2 – the thing that’s coming out right now,” he said, adding there’s still “a lot of building to do” before a third season takes shape.

Now streaming on Netflix, Season 2 brings James back as Eddie Horniman as his covert empire grows more complicated. Eddie and Susie Glass keep expanding the business they inherited from kingpin Bobby Glass — who’s still behind bars — and the operation pushes beyond Britain into Italy, bringing fresh alliances and new threats with it. The tone remains very much Guy Ritchie: crime, snap decisions and dark laughs.
