Hunger Games alum Ethan Jamieson has been arrested and is facing three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, Us Weekly confirms, according to an arrest report. Jamieson portrayed the District 4 male tribute in the 2012 film.

Well, this is not the kind of Hunger Games update anyone was expecting. Ethan Jamieson — the actor who popped up as the District 4 male tribute in the original 2012 film — has been arrested in North Carolina on serious charges.

Us Weekly says they obtained the arrest report on Wednesday, April 15, confirming Jamieson, 27, is facing three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. TMZ first reported the news. According to the reports, the alleged incident happened in Raleigh, where Jamieson lives, and involved three men identified by initials only — E.F., J.M., and K.W. — and a 9mm semi-automatic handgun.

  • Arrest date: March 23 in Raleigh, North Carolina
  • Charges: Three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
  • Alleged victims: Three men, identified as E.F., J.M., and K.W.
  • Alleged weapon: 9mm semi-automatic handgun
  • Previous arrest: March 2025 for resisting a public officer
  • Status: Us Weekly says they have asked Jamieson’s rep and the Raleigh Police Department for comment

If you are trying to sort the timeline: this new arrest happened March 23, and the outlet says it obtained the paperwork on Wednesday, April 15. The prior arrest for resisting a public officer was in March 2025, so, yes, that is two run-ins with law enforcement roughly a year apart.

Jamieson has mostly stayed off the radar since his brief run of child and teen roles. He started out on a 2009 episode of One Tree Hill as 'Kid No. 2,' then turned up in the 2010 TV movie The Rusty Bucket Kids: Lincoln, Journey to 16 and the short film Gravity. The Hunger Games came in 2012, where he was credited as the District 4 tribute. He also appeared as himself in 2012’s The World Is Watching: Making the Hunger Games and later in 2017’s Extras: The Hunger Games. His last acting credit was a 2013 guest spot on Justified, playing Milo Truth.

Back when The Hunger Games blew up, Jamieson did a few interviews. He told LancasterOnline in March 2012 that he knew the books were huge but didn’t realize the movie would be that massive, and he told Clevver TV he had a blast on set pulling pranks with castmates. He also said signing autographs at the premiere was a highlight — but he never projected a lifelong acting career for himself.

'I want to be just a normal person,' he told LancasterOnline in 2012.

That was then. For now, this case is still developing. If Jamieson or the Raleigh PD issue statements, I’ll update this post with their side of the story.
