The world of Westeros is coming back.
If you miss the world of A Song of Ice and Fire, where bloody intrigues unfold, then 2026 will bring you a gift. Another project will be released next year, the action of which will take place in Westeros, a world invented by George R. R. Martin.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, based on the short story collection of the same name, will tell a story that takes place nearly a hundred years before the events depicted in Game of Thrones.
Martin has already seen the upcoming season and said he is pleased with the show, adding that the project itself will be lighter and more comedic than other series.

The series is based on the collection of stories A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. George R. R. Martin's works take place a century before the events depicted in Game of Thrones.
Three novellas have been published thus far. The first, The Hedge Knight, was published in 1998. The second, The Sworn Knight, was published in 2003. The third, The Mystery Knight, was published in 2010.
What Will The TV Series Be About?
The events of the series will take place 90 years before those of Game of Thrones. As in the original works, the narrative will focus on two characters.
The first is a wandering knight named Duncan the Tall. Ser Duncan will be remembered in Westeros' history as a symbol of chivalry, but his squire, Egg, is a much more interesting figure.
Beneath the guise of an ordinary boy lies none other than a Targaryen heir and the future fifteenth King of Westeros, Aegon V. The first season will most likely focus on the events of the first book and pay special attention to how the characters meet.
We will see one of the most famous knightly tournaments in the history of the Seven Kingdoms, the Ashford Tournament. After the tournament, the main characters will embark on a journey and visit Dorne.

Ira Parker, who had previously worked on A Song of Ice and Fire as part of the House of the Dragon team, wrote the pilot episode.
Ryan Condal, the showrunner of House of the Dragon, was chosen as one of the project's producers.
Additionally, George R. R. Martin is closely involved in the project's development and is an executive producer of the upcoming series. According to Martin, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will be the most faithful adaptation of his books.

The exact release date has not yet been announced, but the premiere is expected to be in 2026. The first season will consist of six episodes. If the project is successful, HBO plans to adapt the remaining two stories for the screen.
