Season 2 of the Disney+ thriller thins out its own cast at a pace the first season never attempted, and the deaths change who is running Murthehelp by the end. Here's the full count, in order.

The first season built a supply chain of arms dealers, handlers, and cleaners around one hardware store. The second season spends eight episodes taking it apart, and the arithmetic matters for who's left holding the company.

A Shop for Killers season 2 ran eight episodes on Disney+ from 22 July to 12 August 2026, directed by Lee Kwon, with Lee Dong-wook back as Jung Jin-man and Kim Hye-jun as his niece Jung Ji-an. The casualty list runs through both sides of the Babylon conflict, and two of the five are the season's own antagonists.

The count

  • J (Masaki Okada) — episodes 3–4. Shot by Bale during the raid on Jin-man's container workshop. J had wanted Jin-man taken alive; Bale did not.
  • Bale (Jo Han-sun) — episodes 3–4. Killed by Jin-man minutes later. Jin-man cut the lights in a container and put on the only night-vision goggles in the room; when Bale took them off him to use them, the bomb inside detonated.
  • Pa-shin (Kim Min) — episode 7. Killed by Babylon's mercenaries holding the escape route open for Ji-an during the raid on the shop.
  • Brother (Lee Tae-young) — episodes 7–8. Shot by Q and dies in the tunnel he was sealing behind the others.
  • Kusanagi Jin (Jung Yun-ha) — episode 8. Ji-an kills her with a single pistol shot to the head after Kusanagi's manipulation is exposed.

The finale also clears out Babylon's mercenary force — Ji-an triggers explosives on them — and Kusanagi kills every client in the room before her own death.

The two that reorder the show

Bale's death in the first half is the structural one. He was the season's most physically dangerous figure, and he goes out in a trap rather than a fight, which resets the terms: Jin-man's advantage is preparation, not marksmanship.

Bale kills J because J is standing between him and Jin-man. Jin-man kills Bale by giving him something to take.

Kusanagi's death is the other. She spends the season as the intelligence behind Babylon's moves, and the finale pins her manipulation to the record before Ji-an fires.

Who is running things at the end

The season closes on a ceasefire rather than a victory. Babylon and Murthehelp agree to leave each other alone, and Jin-man's stated position is that he has no use for Murthehelp if Babylon doesn't come after them.

Ji-an ends the season as the head of Murthehelp. Jin-man defers to her on where it goes next — a reversal of the first season, where she was the one being kept alive and kept in the dark.

The uncle spent season 1 teaching her how to survive the business. Season 2 ends with her deciding what the business is.

Disney+ has not confirmed a third season. The material left on the table is thin by design — the surviving threads are a possible Babylon breach of the ceasefire, or the stolen server data getting out.

For the record: Yoo Ji-tae plays Chen across the season, and Geum Hae-na returns as Min-hye. Neither is on the list above.
