When is Reacher season 4 coming?

The short answer

August 12, 2026. Prime Video confirmed the date on June 30: season 4 premieres with three episodes at once, then rolls out one episode per week through the finale on September 16, 2026. Eight episodes total.

Alan Ritchson had already promised as much, telling Collider in June 2026:

"It 's by far the best season we've had yet."

What's season 4 about?

It adapts Gone Tomorrow, Lee Child's 13th Reacher novel, published in 2009. The setup: Reacher is riding a New York subway in the middle of the night when he clocks a woman showing every sign of being a suicide bomber.

He approaches. She shoots herself. And Reacher tumbles into a conspiracy far bigger than anything he handled in season 3.

Filming ran from June 16 to November 16, 2025, shot in Philadelphia and Ontario. New cast members include Sydelle Noel as NYC detective Tamara Green, Agnez Mo as Lila Hoth, Kevin Corrigan, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, and Kathleen Robertson. Ritchson and Maria Sten (Frances Neagley) return, as always.

The full schedule

• August 12, 2026 — Episodes 1–3 drop together
• Weekly from August 19 — One new episode every Wednesday
• September 16, 2026 — Season 4 finale, plus all 8 episodes of the spinoff Neagley in one binge drop, the same day

That last part is the curveball: Neagley, starring Maria Sten as Reacher's most trusted ally, launches its entire first season the moment the Reacher finale lands. A month of Reacher, then a weekend of Neagley. Amazon is clearly betting the flagship's audience rolls straight into the spinoff.

Is there a season 5?

Already confirmed. Amazon renewed Reacher for season 5 in May 2026 — before season 4 even aired — with filming expected to run into late 2026. Not surprising: season 3 pulled 54.6 million global viewers in its first 19 days and stands as Prime Video's biggest returning show.

For the record: the first three seasons average 96% with critics on Rotten Tomatoes. No pressure, subway lady.
