Taylor Swift is reportedly cooking up new music, but exactly what she’s plotting is still under wraps.
With Travis Kelce already back with the Kansas City Chiefs for his 14th NFL season, Taylor Swift has quietly shifted into work mode of her own: new music. A Page Six report says the newlyweds are syncing up their calendars while she spends long stretches writing and demoing.
“Taylor has been pouring herself into writing new music and is incredibly inspired creatively. Songwriting has been her main focus, and she’s really excited about what’s taking shape,” the insider said.
Swift also stepped out for her first public interview and performance since getting married, sitting with Recording Academy chief Harvey Mason Jr. at the Grammy Museum’s Icon Sessions. Onstage, she flashed a gold wedding band alongside her 10-carat Old Mine diamond engagement ring and kept personal details to a minimum, declining to discuss the ceremony itself.
Instead, she played a short medley that leaned on fan favorites:

Over in awards chatter, IndieWire has already tagged Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” as a front-runner for Best Original Song — the track appears over the end credits of Toy Story 5, which has become a box office force. The outlet notes one quirk: because the song isn’t woven into the story itself, voters will be judging an end-credits cue rather than an in-film moment.
That matters because Academy rules say Original Song contenders are evaluated on “efficacy, artistry, creative content, and significance to the dramatic totality,” and for end-credits entries, the submission clip must include the final seconds before the credits begin. How that plays with voters remains to be seen.
For now, Swift hasn’t announced a title or release timeline for the new music she’s writing — only that she’s in it, and energized.
