A new Netflix documentary pulls back the curtain on Stranger Things' final season, capturing the cast's heartfelt goodbyes after filming their last scene together.

The curtain has officially closed on one of television’s most beloved sci-fi sagas, and a new Netflix documentary, One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5, gives fans a front-row seat to the emotional final days on set. The film isn’t a surprise bonus episode, but rather an intimate look at the cast and crew as they wrap up a decade-long journey together.

The documentary’s climax unfolds as the main group—Will, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and Max—gathers in the Wheelers’ basement for one last round of Dungeons and Dragons. As the cameras stop rolling, the entire team comes together, and Finn Wolfhard steps forward to deliver a moving speech.

“I started this show when I was 12 with these guys, and it ’s gonna sound sad, but I didn’t feel like I had a lot of friends when I was a kid,”

Wolfhard shares, his voice trembling as his co-stars fight back tears.

“When I talked to the Duffers for the first time, it felt like I had friends. And now I have so many more friends.”

Decade of Friendship and Growth

It’s no wonder emotions ran high—many of the actors have spent nearly ten years growing up on set, some starting as young as eleven. The Duffer brothers, Ross and Matt, take a moment to address the group.

“To the cast, people fell in love with this show because they fell in love with you,”

Matt Duffer says.

“Thank you for giving so much of yourselves to this story, for all the laughs, the tears, for being the little brothers and sisters we never had. You’re family, we love you always.”

Ross Duffer adds,

“I think everyone was surprised by how emotional it was to say goodbye. We really felt like Mike in the final moments of the show. It’s just so hard to let go, but you have to. You have to move on.”

As the speeches wrap up, confetti bursts through the air, and the entire cast and crew share hugs, marking the end of an era. Familiar faces like Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, Joe Keery, and Maya Hawke join in the celebration, making the farewell even more poignant.

Bittersweet Endings and Lasting Memories

Millie Bobby Brown, who filmed her final scene as Eleven earlier in the day, reflects on the experience.

“It feels like it’s a part of me that I’m leaving behind as well. It’s not just a character, it’s half my life. I’m not ready to let go.”

Her words echo the sentiment felt by so many who poured their hearts into the series.

One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5 is now streaming, offering fans a heartfelt glimpse into the bonds formed and the memories made during the show’s unforgettable run.
