Stagecoach Cheating Allegations: What Really Happened Between Steven McBee Jr. and Allie Eklund
A desert weekend at Stagecoach turned sour for Steven McBee Jr. and Allie Eklund: after seeing headliners Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson and Post Malone in Indio, McBee accused Eklund of cheating — and he still isn’t sure what really happened.
Stagecoach weekend got messy fast for Steven McBee Jr. and Allie Eklund. What should have been a country-music hang in Indio turned into a very public he-said/she-said, complete with deleted videos, late-night gym flexes, and accusations flying across Instagram.
What set this off
After heading to Stagecoach (headliners this year: Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, and Post Malone), McBee says he cut his trip short and then started getting messages about Eklund at an afterparty. On April 27, 2026, he posted a video to Instagram (now deleted) accusing her of crossing lines with another guy.
'I still don't know exactly what happened. I just know there was hand holding, grinding, dancing, drunken stupor at an afterparty.'
He also shared Instagram Stories saying he left a day early because of, in his words, real responsibilities, and claimed multiple people reached out about what they saw — specifically a random DM, two separate phone calls, and a video. Around 5:03 a.m. Monday, he contrasted being at the gym with her, as he put it, being drunk and cheating at an afterparty. In another video, he suggested she isn't ready to settle down and is more interested in chasing the biggest concerts, events, and festivals.
Allie's response
Eklund pushed back a few hours later via her Instagram Story. She said she was blindsided that he went public before they spoke and that she's tried to keep their issues private. She also alleged McBee has a pattern of getting verbally abusive when he's heated, which is why she waited to respond. And she called out what she saw as him using the moment to plug his TV series.
'Posting everything online before we talked is extremely disheartening and extremely unfair, considering I've protected Steven many times during the course of our relationship... I chose not to respond to Steven immediately because he has a history of verbally abusing me while he's in a heightened emotional state... it's even more disappointing that he made references to promote his TV show.'
Her bottom line: she says she was simply enjoying the festival with a group of friends, and this whole thing is painful for her and her family, who prefer to stay out of the public eye.
How we got here
- November 2025: McBee goes Instagram official with Eklund, posting PDA shots and the caption 'Never been so certain.'
- They met through mutual friend William Van Orsdel. McBee joked that he slid into Eklund's DMs (plural), and Will gave her an 'A+ referral and assist' that helped turn those messages into an actual date.
- Also November 2025: They make a public splash together at BravoCon in Las Vegas.
- April 2026: They hit Stagecoach in Indio. McBee says he left a day early; later that weekend, the cheating allegations and social posts start.
Will this spill onto The McBee Dynasty?
Bravo hasn't announced a premiere date for season 3 of The McBee Dynasty yet, but McBee hinted new episodes are landing in time for summer. After the dust-up, he tried to project calm, saying:
'I'm good, guys. I appreciate all the love and support. I got a damn good dog. I got a damn good family. I got a damn good life.'
Where it stands right now
Eklund sounds done with the public back-and-forth. Her words: she doesn't want to escalate, wants this to end here, and plans to take time to process and move on. McBee, for his part, has pulled down his original video but hasn't walked back the accusations.
Messy, public, and, yes, oddly timed given the show chatter — but that's where things are. If anything changes (or if Bravo cameras were rolling), we'll find out soon enough.
