That “Web Kid” moment
The film’s final beats introduce a mystery that’s had Marvel fans buzzing: a child credited only as Web Kid, played by 7-year-old Elvis Carlos in his feature debut. The scene unfolds outside a New York City hospital, with Carlos perched on the shoulders of his real-life father, Ken Carlos, as Tom Holland ’s Peter Parker is carried past. Peter locks eyes with the kid, who flashes the classic Spider-Man hand gesture back at him.
Elvis Carlos, 7, makes his feature debut as the mysterious “Web Kid” in the closing scene.
After release, Carlos’ parents posted behind-the-scenes photos and video from the day and thanked director Destin Daniel Cretton, Holland, and the crew for the opportunity. They confirmed it was Elvis’ first movie, even as fans debate whether that tiny cameo hints at a Miles Morales connection or another thread for the franchise ’s future.
