A White Lotus romance bloomed off-screen: Meghann Fahy and Leo Woodall met filming season 2 in 2022, sent fans into speculation mode after the premiere, and only made their relationship official much later.

If you watched The White Lotus season 2 and thought, huh, Meghann Fahy and Leo Woodall seem suspiciously flirty for two people who never share a scene… congrats, your Spidey-sense was working. The co-stars met in Sicily in 2022, slow-rolled their way through a year-plus of coy jokes and Instagram hints, and then finally went public with a classic New York PDA stroll. Since then, it has been a very modern romance: a strategic soft launch, a hard launch, a few awards-show non-answers, and the occasional extremely photogenic vacation.

The short version, with receipts

  • February 2022: Fahy and Woodall meet filming The White Lotus season 2 at the Four Seasons San Domenico in Taormina, Sicily. Mike White sends them (and half the internet) to Italy; fate handles the rest.
  • September 2022: One month before the show airs, Woodall posts behind-the-scenes Polaroids. Slide one is him and Fahy. His caption: "That’s amore." Fahy drops in with "I love you! I love these! I love you! 😘♥️." Woodall replies, "Love you right back."
  • October 2022: Season 2 premieres. Viewers meet Daphne (Fahy) and Jack (Woodall)… who never actually interact on screen. Off screen, different story incoming.
  • December 2022: Fahy uploads a batch of set selfies titled "Sizzley Sicily," including one with Woodall. He comments "💣🐚" because apparently the vibe is blowing up the beach.
  • January 2023: On Watch What Happens Live, Fahy plays it coy. She jokes "I don’t kiss and tell," briefly pretends to confirm something for Andy, then walks it back with "We’re friends."
  • July 2023: The two attend the South Bank Sky Arts Awards in London together. When Entertainment Tonight fishes for on-set romance tea, Fahy deadpans, "I don’t know anything. Never heard of it. Never seen it. What is that show?"
  • November 2023: The soft launch is over. They’re photographed kissing on a walk in New York City. E! News runs the pics; Internet says, yep, that tracks.
  • January 2024: On the Emmys red carpet, Fahy still won’t lay it all out: "I can’t confirm or deny. Suffice it to say Italy was good for me in more than one way."
  • February 2024: Instagram official. Fahy posts a cozy shot of the two with arms around each other, captioned with a smiling face, a slice of pizza, and a blue heart. Woodall comments, "Who is he?!"
  • May 2024: Throwback time: Fahy shares a pic from set of Woodall lifting her over a balcony, captioned, "Aww on this day two years ago."
  • January 2025: Vacation photo dump. "Just making the cut for the last day Larry David says you can say happy new year!!" Fahy writes, posting their shadows kissing on a beach, golden-hour boat shots (wine included), a biking-around-the-island video, and a dinner-table view straight across at Woodall.
  • February 2025: Woodall tells Elle they’re keeping the relationship mostly offline and private, by design.
  • April 2026: Red carpet date night at The King’s Trust 5th annual Global Gala in New York City. They pose alongside Juan David Borrero, Jasmine Tookes, Martha Stewart, Charlotte Tilbury, and Nina Dobrev.

"We’re very good at keeping it as private as we can. To me, that’s the only way. You see public relationships all the time slapped all over social media and I can’t imagine that’s any fun. [Your relationship] should be a safe space, so I think letting people into it is completely counterproductive."

— Leo Woodall to Elle, February 2025

So yeah, the whole arc is kind of funny: two actors who never crossed paths on camera became the show’s real-life love story, while pretending for months that nothing was happening. The rollout was practically a masterclass — cheeky comments, a couple of non-answers on carpets, a paparazzi-confirmed kiss, then curated glimpses for the fans. And based on that Elle quote, don’t expect a play-by-play on social anytime soon. They’ll share what they want, when they want — which, for them, seems to be working just fine.
