Landman Star Teases Season 3 Mayhem: Weddings, Crossovers, and Big Swings
Paulina Chávez is still in the dark on Landman season 3 — but she’s brimming with bold theories. The Ariana star, 23, exclusively tells Us Weekly she’s ready to drill into new drama while celebrating the National Pork Board’s Explora Todo El Gusto Del Pork campaign.
Paulina Chavez says she knows exactly as much about Landman season 3 as the rest of us: nothing. But she is very ready to dream out loud.
"We don't know anything."
The 23-year-old actress, who plays Ariana on the Paramount+ hit, told Us Weekly she has zero intel on what Taylor Sheridan is cooking up next. She was chatting while helping launch the National Pork Board's new lifestyle food brand, Explora Todo El Gusto Del Pork. No spoilers, no scripts in her inbox yet. Still, she expects the next batch to dig deeper into the messier character stuff and is particularly curious how Ariana slots into the Norris family now that Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) is splitting off to do his own thing. Fun fact: we still haven't actually seen Ariana interact with Angela (Ali Larter). Chavez is itching for that face-off.
So what could Ariana get up to in season 3?
Fresh off her engagement to Cooper (Jacob Lofland), Chavez thinks Ariana has a few big-life moves ahead. Some of this is pure fan-brainstorming, but it 's grounded in where Ariana is right now: engaged, co-parenting a baby she had with her late ex-husband, and already woven into the Norris orbit.
- A not-huge wedding, please: Chavez sees Ariana wanting something small and low-key. The catch is Angela, who Chavez describes as a Latina mom at heart: loud, open, and primed to go big. So expect that tug-of-war between courthouse vibes and full-on extravaganza. Chavez even floated the idea we might only see them prepping for the wedding this season, not the actual ceremony.
- School on the side: Ariana might be the first in her family to try college or night classes. The goal? Do something for herself while taking time with the baby and figuring out her future with Cooper.
- Leveling up in the family business: Ariana is already pitching in on Cooper's goals and with the Norris crew. Chavez can see Rebecca mentoring Ariana so she can help protect the family legally. Think: learning the ropes so the Norrises don't get steamrolled.
- Slow down on more kids: Chavez hopes Ariana and Cooper don't rush that next milestone. They've moved fast in some areas; now it's time to strengthen the relationship and themselves before expanding the family.
- Meet the parents (plural): Chavez wants Cooper to finally experience Ariana's family dynamic and for both families to collide on-screen. Chaotic? Probably. Fun TV? Absolutely.
The crossover talk
Because it's Sheridan, the multishow mingling theories always come up. Us floated everything from Yellowstone spinoffs Dutton Ranch and Marshals to The Madison as potential worlds that could cross paths with Landman. Chavez is into the idea, especially a Dutton Ranch connection as a Yellowstone viewer herself. It is, to be clear, just wishlisting for now.
Off set, she is talking food and family
Before cameras roll again for season 3, Chavez is fronting Explora Todo El Gusto Del Pork for the National Pork Board. For her, it's a chance to show culture through food: pork is a staple in the dishes she grew up with, and she wants to honor the Latinas who came before, especially her grandmas. Her sister even sat down with their grandma and turned family favorites into a cookbook. Chavez's top pick is pozole, the cozy stew she calls pure comfort. Holiday traditions include tamales rojos, plus chilucas on the side. Also, in her house, mom's cooking reigns. She can cook when she has to, but if there's a choice, she's eating whatever mom makes.
Landman is currently streaming on Paramount+. Scripts for season 3 can't arrive fast enough.
