Kendra Wilkinson to Celebs: Stop Hiding Your GLP-1 Use
Kendra Wilkinson, 40, is reframing her weight-loss journey, turning to a GLP-1 plan to feel better and boost her energy—prioritizing patience and intention over quick fixes.
Kendra Wilkinson is not tiptoeing around her latest health move. The former Girls Next Door and Kendra on Top star, now a 40-year-old realtor and mom of two, is getting candid about starting GLP-1 shots and why she is doing it her way.
What she just shared
On Wednesday, April 1, Wilkinson posted on Instagram that she is kicking off a GLP-1 plan with a slow-and-steady mindset. She said the goal is bigger than the number on the scale: she wants more energy, to feel better overall, and to actually trust the process instead of rushing for fast results. She also made it clear she is excited to see how the next few weeks play out and, in a not-so-subtle aside, noted she is being honest about it.
"Unlike most people I am being honest."
In the post, she wore a brown maxi dress with a black blazer and announced a new collaboration with Effecty, a service that links users with licensed medical providers to figure out whether this kind of treatment makes sense for them. She said she wanted something transparent, supportive, and realistic for her day-to-day life.
Why GLP-1, and why now
Back on March 21, she told Us Weekly she was starting GLP-1 shots with a straightforward target: her workouts were not moving the needle, turning 40 put things in perspective, and her jeans have been feeling a little tight. Instead of buying a new wardrobe, she joked she is on a budget and would rather fit into the clothes she already owns. Bottom line, she is happy and at peace, but wanted a plan that actually shows results.
The pushback, and her response
This latest update comes a couple of weeks after she addressed age-shaming in an Instagram selfie on March 8. She said she used to rely on a light filter, but she is done with that and is embracing her face as it is. People have told her she has aged "poorly," and she is fine with that. She added that she is the happiest she has been in a long time, even with some weight gain and wrinkles, and she is not tying her happiness to anyone else’s negativity anymore. She described herself as a balanced, single, positive, fun woman who loves life and wants to hold onto this feeling after working hard to get here.
Where her head was last spring
In March 2025, she wrote that online hate made her think twice about posting, but that chapter is losing power. She said her Playboy era is long gone and that shedding that image has felt freeing. She also talked about living with less depression and not measuring herself by whether strangers think she is smaller, sexier, or whatever the internet is demanding that day.
Life outside the comments
Wilkinson shares two kids with ex-husband Hank Baskett: Hank Jr., 16, and Alijah, 11. The pair were married from June 2009 until October 2018. She says watching their kids grow has been the thing that tops everything else, period.
