It's fantasy time!

This list includes only brand new series announced for 2025. The return to Westeros and the town of the clown Pennywise, and a show based on the books by Anne Rice.

1. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

Release Date: June 15, 2025

The series tells the story of the hedge knight Dunk the Tall and his squire, nicknamed Egg. Dunk is a young man from the slums of King's Landing. And Egg is a ten-year-old boy who is actually... no spoilers here, but his full name is Aegon.

However, in the age of the Internet, even for those who have not read the book, Egg's future is no longer a spoiler.

The stories of Dunk and Egg are not as dark, epic, and large-scale as Game of Thrones. They allow you to see the world of Westeros not through the eyes of kings and lords, but through the eyes of a lower class person.

Therefore, in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms we expect less fantasy and more medieval life. Taverns, tournaments, duels for ladies, and arrogant aristocrats.

2. The Bondsman

Release Date: 2025

The show is about a bounty hunter who died. Then he rose from the dead and it turns out that he now has to hunt demons. In terms of plot, The Bondsman is very reminiscent of dark comics like Spawn or The Crow. In such stories, everything usually revolves around a gothic, tough and cool main character.

Considering this, as well as the experience of the lead actor, Kevin Bacon, we can expect that The Bondsman will turn out to be more of a personal project for the actor. Maybe Bacon decided to have some fun and play an old but strong cowboy, who dashingly knocks out the brains of evil spirits.

3. It: Welcome to Derry

Release Date: 2025

The series will tell the story of the small town of Derry, where every 27 years, It goes hunting – a mystical entity that kills and scares people. It usually appears in the form of the evil clown Pennywise. The series will take place 27 years before the events of the first movie.

Director Andy Muschietti first set the action of the first It in the 1980s, while the book began in 1958. And now he is taking on the era himself, making room for his own imagination.

Don't expect any children's adventures: the main characters are adult men and women. This, of course, is not exactly what one imagines when one hears the word It. But Muschietti's films, especially the first one, were worthy adaptations.

4. The Talamasca

Release Date: 2025

The Talamasca is a secret society of paranormal investigators. It is headquartered in London, with cells throughout the world. Talamasca members investigate the appearance of vampires, witches and other similar evil spirits, and sometimes fight them.

The series will show us the rivalry between the London Talamasca, which is dominated by the mysterious Jasper, and the New York Talamasca, where they suspect that Jasper is an enemy mole.

Anne Rice does not have a Talamasca book, but this society occasionally appears or is mentioned in books about the vampire Lestat, the Mayfair Witches and other mystical characters, but usually does not play a central role.
