The Fast & Furious franchise has never been short on horsepower or ego, and for years, the biggest offscreen drama wasn't the stunts — it was the feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson.

Now, John Cena is weighing in. Speaking on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard, Cena addressed the long-rumored tension between the two stars, calling it what it is:

"There's certainly rumours about that. I can't deny that. You have two very alpha, driven people. You get two, there can only be one."

Cena knows the dynamic well. Having worked alongside both men in WWE and later joining Fast & Furious 9 as Dominic Toretto's long-lost brother Jakob, he was no stranger to navigating high-testosterone environments.

"Man, you gotta remember I got dropped into a locker room where we have generational vets," he added. "‘What'd your dad do?' ‘Wrestle.' ‘What'd your granddad do?' ‘Wrestle.' I've been in that environment; know the room and just kind of adapt to what's going on."

It's a carefully worded answer — diplomatic, but not dismissive. Cena avoids taking sides, which makes sense given that tensions between Diesel and Johnson were intense enough to push The Rock out of the franchise entirely.

Johnson publicly called out Diesel for what he saw as manipulative behavior, including allegedly invoking the late Paul Walker's name in an attempt to guilt him into returning. For a while, it looked like the feud had permanently split the Fast family.

But things have shifted. Johnson made a surprise cameo in the post-credits scene of Fast X, and soon after, Universal announced he'd headline a new spinoff centered on his character, Luke Hobbs. Whether it's a genuine reconciliation or the result of a well-timed paycheck, he's officially back.

With at least one more main film and another spinoff in development, there's now a real possibility Diesel and Johnson could appear onscreen together again — something that would've seemed impossible not long ago.
