Netflix has a Tyson Fury documentary that goes where the highlight reels don’t — into the battles that shaped him from childhood to boxing stardom.

The new trailer for Tyson Fury sticks close to the man, not the belts: candid sit-downs with his family, raw talk about mental health and addiction, and previously unseen home-video footage from an unconventional childhood. Billed as a standalone, feature-length film, it ’s a darker, more intimate portrait than Netflix ’s earlier docusoap At Home with the Furys. The project was first announced by Fury in mid-2025.

“I’d achieved all my childhood dreams, but my whole point of existence had been taken away. I didn’t want to live.”

That line lands in the trailer alongside voices closest to him and a look back at the moments that defined his rise, including the long chase for a breakthrough against Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

  • Paris Fury — reflects on being “terrified” as the man she knew seemed to fade.
  • John Fury — adds a father’s vantage point on his son’s turmoil and triumphs.
  • Archival footage — unseen clips trace Fury’s offbeat upbringing to his life in the ring.

Beyond the docusoap

Where the earlier Netflix series leaned domestic and light, this film zeroes in on the costs of staying at the top: the comedowns after career highs, the pull of addiction, and the toll on his family. The trailer frames the doc as a reset for a new chapter, with Fury speaking directly about the void that followed his biggest wins.

Timed to a fight night

Netflix is also carrying Fury’s live showdown with Anthony Joshua as a streaming sports event, and the documentary is set to land roughly two weeks before the bout to tee up the rivalry. The fight streams live on Netflix on December 11 from Principality Stadium.
