House of the Dragon’s Bethany Antonia tipped for an iconic X-Men role in the MCU
House of the Dragon star Bethany Antonia wants to bring thunder to the MCU, throwing her hat in the ring to play Storm in Marvel’s next wave of X-Men projects.
House of the Dragon cast members are back on the promo trail, talking up a bigger-than-last-time Season 3. And while Westeros gears up to get even messier, Marvel is busy laying the groundwork for the X-Men in the MCU. Somewhere in the middle of all that, one of the show’s stars went ahead and called her shot.
Bethany Antonia has a Marvel wishlist
During a chat with ComicBook’s Chris Killian, with co-star Phoebe Campbell sitting beside her, Bethany Antonia didn’t hesitate when asked which hero or villain she’d want to audition for. She went straight for a heavy hitter: Storm.
"Oh, Storm, but I think that’s already taken."
When Killian suggested the role might not actually be cast yet, Antonia leaned into it and joked that Marvel should give her a call.
Why this is fun timing
HBO is talking up House of the Dragon Season 3 as a larger-scale return, so the cast making noise is expected. Meanwhile, Marvel is keeping its X-Men plans tightly locked down, which makes Antonia staking a claim like this a neat little curveball. If the mutant lineup really is still in flux, tossing your name in the ring on camera is one way to get on the radar.
