Emily in Paris: How Many Seasons & Where to Watch the Show With Lily Collins?
The most talked about show of recent years is coming back with Season 4 sooner than you think.
In 1998, Sex and the City was released and became a cult classic. In 2006, The Devil Wears Prada told us about Anne Hathaway's character in the frivolous world of fashion. In 2015, the creators of Sex and the City launched another good comedy series about fashion – Younger.
But this was not enough: in 2020, Netflix decided to tell another story about a young woman in the world of fashion, glamor and love. The plot is very simple: the main character Emily (played by Lily Collins) moves to Paris for work. There she has to show the French how American marketing works.
Emily in Paris is Pure Guilty Pleasure
Nobody would have noticed Emily in Paris if the first season had not been criticized for bad fashion, stereotypical portrayal of the French and myths about working in marketing. But at the same time, the show has become a cult classic – with each season release, it has consistently stayed in the top 10 on Netflix for several weeks and garnered impressive viewerships.
And why is that? Well, because Emily in Paris is guilty pleasure personified, and we all love our dose of guilty pleasure. This series is a great substitute for reality TV, an anti-stress ball, and a few hours at the spa, so it's absolutely no surprise that it's been renewed for a fourth season, and it's closer than you think.
Season 4 Release Date & Streaming Platform
Emily in Paris has already aired three seasons to great acclaim, and the show has proven so successful that Netflix decided not to release the entire fourth season at once, but to split it into two parts. This is what the platform does with its most popular projects, like Bridgerton.
The first part of the fourth season of Emily in Paris, consisting of five episodes out of ten, will be released on Netflix on August 15, and the second part – almost a month later, on September 12.
Season 4 Plot
In the fourth season, Emily will face a difficult choice – she has strong feelings for two men and just can't choose between them.
Meanwhile, Emily's boss, Sylvie, will face her own dilemma – the team at the elite marketing agency Agence Grateau is undergoing personnel changes. At the same time, Emily's friend Mindy and her band are preparing to perform at Eurovision.
