Joseph has been charged in Florida with two counts: one count of lewd and lascivious behavior involving molestation of a victim under 12, and a second count of lewd and lascivious behavior by a person 18 or older. He appeared in court on March 20, waived extradition, and agreed to be transferred to Florida to face those charges.

The separate case with Kendra

A few days after his arrest, news broke that Joseph is also facing four counts of second degree endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second degree false imprisonment. Those counts are tied to a case that also names his wife, Kendra Duggar. Kendra was arrested on March 20, 2026, and released the same day on bond.
