Daredevil: Born Again Has 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, But Is It Really That Good? (Spoiler, Yes)

The new show will definitely please fans of the Netflix series.
On March 4, the first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again, a new Marvel series, debuted on Disney+. Born Again continues the events of Netflix's Daredevil, but is now firmly embedded in the cinematic universe.
The beginning of the season seems to be a return to the atmosphere of the original: a dark story full of drama and hard action. So fans of Daredevil will definitely like the new series.
What Is Daredevil: Born Again About?
Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson and Karen Page go to a bar where everyone is celebrating the retirement of police officer Cherry. Suddenly, one of Daredevil's old enemies appears and tragedy strikes. A wounded Matt barely defeats the enemy.
A year later, Murdock is still practicing law. He has become disillusioned with the activities of the Avengers and has stopped wearing the Daredevil costume. However, something happens that worries Matt: Wilson Fisk has decided to run for mayor of New York.
Murdock does not trust his former enemy, but is forced to call a truce. At the same time, he must deal with an unusual court case: a masked vigilante kills a police officer.
Daredevil: Born Again Has Not Forgotten Its Roots
It's worth remembering that Netflix's Daredevil not only captivated viewers with its dark tone, but also set a very high bar for fight staging: the fights in the series looked realistic and very rough.
The creators of the new show remember this, so they go full-action in the opening scene: they show a 5-minute fight scene with the effect of being filmed in one take.
Anyone who has seen the hallway from the first season, the stairs from the second, and the office from the third will immediately feel at home.
The Main Plot Resembles a Political Thriller
The confrontation between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk is the basis of the original Daredevil. Not surprisingly, the creators of Born Again decided to bring it back.
Much of the plot is devoted to Fisk's political activities: he attracts voters with populist slogans and promises to ban the masked vigilantes, a topic that has long been a leitmotif in the cinematic universe.
Daredevil: Born Again Is One of the Best Marvel Projects in Recent Years
Daredevil: Born Again is a pleasant return to the days of Marvel when they weren't afraid to make gritty and dark comic book movies.
The series balances on the edge of being a dramatic thriller and a superhero action movie, and these parts complement each other perfectly.
