Daredevil: Born Again Finally Revives a Long-Neglected MCU Villain
Spoilers ahead: New Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 set photos point to a sidelined season 2 villain storming back into the spotlight—and this time, the gloves are off. Fans who felt shortchanged before may be getting the showdown they’ve been waiting for.
If you were let down by how little Muse actually did last season on Daredevil: Born Again, I have good news and a big ol' spoiler warning. Season 3 set pics are out there, and they point to that creepy art-murderer taking center stage again… just not in the way you might expect.
Spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 ahead.
The short version: Muse is dead, but the mask lives on
Quick refresher on last season: Muse showed up as a serial killer who literally turned his victims into his art. He fixated on his doctor, Heather Glenn — who also happens to be Matt Murdock's girlfriend — and eventually tried to kill her. That backfired. Heather fought back, Daredevil stepped in, and she shot Muse before he could finish the job. End of Muse… or so we thought.
New set photos say Heather is stepping into the role
Fresh on-set shots making the rounds suggest Heather is now carrying Muse's mask and, by the looks of it, the identity too. In other words: Season 3 is teeing up a bigger arc for the villain, and because that mantle is changing hands, a new actor will be playing them.
"Heather Glenn has become Lady Muse on the set of Daredevil Born Again S3"

The implication is pretty clear: after everything she went through, Heather is in a spiral, and the show is positioning her as Lady Muse. That tracks with what we see in the photos — and with where this story could go next.
How close is this to the comics?
It is not a 1:1. In the comics, Muse's ghost pushes a new Lady Muse over the edge — specifically targeting artist Morgan Whittier from, yes, the depths of Hell. The show seems to be swapping out a literal haunting for something more grounded: Heather's trauma driving her to pick up the mask. Different mechanics, same unsettling vibe. Thematically, it's in the same neighborhood.
What else people are whispering about Season 3
- Daniel Blake might turn out to be Wilson Fisk's illegitimate son.
- Fisk's stretch as New York City mayor is reportedly over, but he could circle back as a sometime-ally for Daredevil and Karen. Wild if true, but interesting.
- With Spider- Man: Brand New Day still on the horizon, the board may keep shifting under Matt Murdock and friends.
Bottom line: Muse was underused last season; Season 3 looks ready to overcorrect by handing the mask to Heather and letting Lady Muse run. Messy, tragic, compelling — all of the above.
