Come December, Alan Jackson takes his final bow as NBC readies farewell concert special
Alan Jackson is getting a televised goodbye this December, with an emotional farewell concert that spotlights his legendary country career.
Captured June 27 at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, the sold-out farewell show finds Alan Jackson taking a victory lap with a few surprises — including a pair of duets with George Strait. The night bottles up three-plus decades of hits, the kind of singalongs that turn a stadium into one giant front porch.

Health backdrop
Jackson revealed in 2021 that he’s been living with Charcot–Marie–Tooth disease, an inherited neurological condition that affects the peripheral nerves and can cause issues with movement and balance. He said he’d been diagnosed roughly a decade earlier and that its increasingly visible effects were making performing harder, a candid disclosure that also raised awareness for the disorder.
