Charges Filed Against Lisa Hochstein Over Alleged Spying on Ex Lenny
Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein and ex-boyfriend Jody Glidden have been charged with intercepting wire, oral, or electronic communications in a case tied to her ex-husband Lenny Hochstein, with court records showing each faces a single count.
Well, this just escalated. 'Real Housewives of Miami' star Lisa Hochstein and her ex-boyfriend, tech entrepreneur Jody Glidden, are now dealing with criminal charges tied directly to her ex-husband, plastic surgeon Leonard 'Lenny' Hochstein. Yes, the divorce drama somehow got more complicated.
What they were charged with
According to court filings obtained Monday, April 13, both Lisa, 43, and Glidden, 52, have been hit with one count each of illegally intercepting wire, oral, or electronic communications. The paperwork says that between March 12 and March 31, 2023, the two allegedly intercepted, tried to intercept, or pushed someone else to intercept oral statements made by Lenny, 59, and the people he was talking to.
Glidden was arrested in Miami Beach last month and taken into custody. As of Monday, he is no longer listed in the jail database.
"This matter is part of a contentious divorce proceeding and does not belong in criminal court," said Lisa’s attorney, Jayne Weintraub, and Glidden’s attorneys, Howard Srebnick and Frank Gaviria.
Us Weekly says they reached out to Lenny for comment.
The messy backstory (short version)
- May 2022: Lenny files to end the marriage after 12 years.
- March 12–31, 2023: The window when prosecutors say Lisa and Glidden intercepted Lenny’s private conversations.
- March 2023: In divorce filings, Lenny accuses Lisa of putting a listening device on his car to monitor his calls, claiming it tainted the legal process. Lisa calls that accusation nonsense.
- March 2023: Lisa goes public with her relationship with Glidden.
- November 2024: The divorce is finalized. Lisa and Lenny share custody of their two kids: Logan, 10, and Elle, 5.
- June 2025: On RHOM season 7, fans latch onto Glidden inviting a friend for "a shot and some AC" at his birthday party. Conspiracy theorists read it as code for cocaine; Lisa fires back on Instagram, saying the episode was cut to mislead viewers, their friends were just hanging out in the primary suite to avoid cameras, and "AC" meant actual air conditioning. Miami. It happens.
- January 2026: Glidden confirms he and Lisa have split in a now-deleted Instagram comment.
- February 2026: Lisa hints at big life changes and a recent move on social, shouting out her moving company and implying things have been, to put it mildly, chaotic.
- April 13 (Monday): These new criminal charges surface via court documents.
Where everyone stands now
Legally: Lisa and Glidden both face one count tied to allegedly recording (or attempting to record) Lenny’s private conversations during the latter stage of their breakup. Glidden was briefly in custody last month but is not currently in the jail system. Defense attorneys argue this whole thing belongs in family court, not criminal court.
Personally: Lisa and Glidden broke up earlier this year, after nearly two years together.
"We’ve gone our separate ways, but I still care about her deeply and want the best for her," Glidden wrote in January, before deleting the comment.
As for Lenny, beyond the original listening-device accusation back in 2023, he hasn’t publicly weighed in on the new criminal case yet. Given how long this saga has been simmering, expect more filings, more statements, and possibly more Miami-grade air conditioning references.
