Bradley Cooper hails Zendaya’s Euphoria performance as she readies a stacked 2026 film slate.

So, yes, we all saw that Euphoria Season 3 ending coming and still somehow did not see it coming. The HBO juggernaut wrapped with a finale that blew up timelines, group chats, and red carpets. And now, right on cue, Bradley Cooper is tossing gasoline on the Zendaya appreciation fire.

The finale everyone is arguing about

Season 3 ended with Rue Bennett dying from a fentanyl overdose, which instantly turned into maybe the most-argued-about TV moment of 2026. It has been the conversation at award shows, on celebrity couches, and anywhere fans are trying (and mostly failing) to dodge spoilers on Instagram. Cast members Colman Domingo and Jacob Elordi have been open about how hard the ending hit them, and folks like Tim Robinson and Chase Infiniti have also weighed in on the show’s gut punch of a sendoff.

Bradley Cooper goes all-in on Zendaya

In a very industry-y twist, Cooper’s praise came during an Interview Magazine conversation where Sam Levinson interviewed him. Cooper did not play coy about how he feels watching Zendaya work as Rue, and he even brought up her lockdown two-hander Malcolm & Marie as proof she is the real deal.

"I don’t think I’ve come across an actor that’s floored me like that. I mean, it’s like Elizabeth Taylor meets Marlon Brando."

He also called her "so incredible" in Malcolm & Marie. Coming from an Oscar- nominated actor-director who is notoriously choosy with his public compliments, that is a monster endorsement. And honestly, it tracks. Zendaya has already won two Emmys for playing Rue, and the Season 3 closer caps a performance that kept the show’s heart beating even when the story wandered into some bleak places.

Where this leaves Zendaya

Euphoria is over, but Zendaya is not slowing down. If anything, she is leveling up.

Short version: the show that turned Hollywood inside out just closed its book, and one of its biggest stars is walking straight into an even brighter spotlight. Cooper’s comparison to Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando is a high bar. The wild part is, after that finale and the run she just had, it does not feel crazy.
