BET Awards 2026: your complete guide to watching live — date, time and streaming
Countdown to BET Awards 2026: exact start time, broadcast details, and how to stream—no guesswork.
The BET Awards never tiptoe in. They kick the door open, throw music, movie, and TV chaos at the wall, and somehow make the whole thing feel like a family reunion that also happens to break the internet. This year brings the same energy: Cardi B leads with six nominations, comedian Druski is running the show, and the lineup is stacked enough to make you clear your Sunday night.
"Culture's Biggest Night"
When and where to watch
It all goes down live on Sunday, June 28, at 8:00 PM ET/PT (7 PM CT) from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
- Watch on: BET, BET HER, MTV, MTV2, VH1, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, CMT, LOGO, POP, TV Land, and Nickelodeon at Nick at Nite
- Stream on: the BET NOW app with participating TV provider credentials, or via Philo, Sling TV, FuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, and YouTube TV
Who is hosting and who is out front
Druski takes over hosting duties, which should keep the show loose and unpredictable in the best way. Cardi B is the nominations leader with six nods, so expect her to be front and center all night.
Performers and reunions
If you are allergic to quiet, good news: Cardi B headlines a performance slate that also includes Kendrick Lamar, Queen Latifah, Doechii, Kehlani, Tems, Rick Ross, T.I., Don Toliver, Jill Scott, Common, and The War and Treaty. French Montana and Max B are reuniting onstage, which is one of those booking swings that could own the night.
Tributes and special honors
On the awards side, the show is handing out some heavyweight honors. Ms. Lauryn Hill is set to receive the inaugural Living Legend Icon Award. Teyana Taylor is being celebrated as Icon of the Year. And Sylvia Rhone will accept the Ultimate Icon Award. The wording around Teyana Taylor in the early notes was a little muddled, but bottom line: she is getting a big flowers moment.
Red carpet watchlist
Plan to clock the arrivals. Based on this year’s nominations, look for Mariah the Scientist, Doja Cat, Latto, Olivia Dean, Clipse, SZA, Bruno Mars, Drake, and Chris Brown to hit the carpet. With that many heavy hitters in one place, the pre-show could be as eventful as the main event.
A quick pre-show tease
BET has been stoking the hype with throwback-friendly promos, including a Father’s Day post on June 21 featuring Jermaine Dupri and Bow Wow from last year’s show, plus the reminder to tune in Sunday at 8/7c. Translation: they want you planted on the couch early.
See you Sunday
I will be watching for the Lauryn Hill tribute, the French Montana/Max B reunion, and whatever Druski does when he inevitably goes off script. What are you tuning in for?
