Bachelor Nation star Rachel Recchia choked up on TikTok, saying the hate she once brushed off has turned relentless — and that every post now triggers a fresh pile-on.

Rachel Recchia hopped on TikTok and, honestly, she sounded exhausted by the noise. The former Bachelorette got candid about her appearance, her health, and why the comments lately have hit harder than usual.

What set this off

In a video posted Tuesday, March 31, the 30-year-old said the replies under her posts have turned brutal. Think: "you don’t look like yourself," "you don’t look good," "you look sick," and endless versions of "you were prettier back then." She said she can usually roll with the punches online, but the volume and tone lately have crossed a line.

She gets that she looks different than she did on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor back in 2022 and during her co-lead run with Gabby Windey on The Bachelorette that same year. She has also been upfront about using filler and Botox. And then she dropped a line that tells you exactly where her head is at right now:

"I would do anything to be 25 and look that way again."

How we got here

  • 2022: Rachel appears on Clayton Echard’s The Bachelor (season 26), then co-leads The Bachelorette (season 19) with Gabby Windey.
  • Over time: She says her weight has fluctuated and she’s taken heat for it from viewers.
  • Before filming Perfect Match season 3 in 2025: She got very sick and needed a PICC line (a peripherally inserted central catheter). She lost weight while dealing with that.
  • Right after the PICC line came out: She went straight into filming Perfect Match and lost even more weight, which she talked about through tears.
  • On set: She kept hearing people compare her to her Bachelorette days, calling her "big" back then. Seeing herself at a new weight on camera made it hard to let herself gain the weight back afterward.

Why this hit a nerve

Rachel says she’s been struggling with her body image, and she knows people are clocking her "slimmed out" face. She also called out the way women on reality TV are constantly picked apart for how they look. She isn’t pretending to have a tidy fix here; she admitted she put herself in the public eye, but she’s working on it and doesn’t have a neat ending to the story yet.

The ask: be decent online

She closed by asking people to bring a little more kindness to the comments section and the internet in general. She even captioned the post: "Reminder to be kind today 🤍".

Support rolled in fast

Bachelor Nation alum Charity Lawson popped in with "Love you so much ❤️." One follower wrote, "ALL versions of you are beautiful! Worthy to be comfortable in your own skin!" Another added, "The gag is you looked gorg then, and you look so absolutely beautiful now!!!!"

Short version: She’s been open about what’s changed, she’s dealing with the fallout in real time, and she’s asking us not to make it harder than it already is.
