Arcane is coming to an end, but another videogame-based release is on the way.

To combat bad weather and mood swings, we have compiled a list of the most anticipated fall and winter shows that will help you spend the cold evenings.

The list includes new seasons of the popular hits and new original stories.

1. Dune: Prophecy

Release Date: November 24

The prequel to Denis Villeneuve's franchise will tell the story of the female order Bene Gesserit, responsible for the training of body and mind, as well as the work of the entire universe. The action will take place thousands of years before the reign of Paul Atreides and will focus on the fate of two Harkonnen sisters.

The series had a troubled history: director Johan Renck and star Shirley Henderson left the set during filming. However, the HBO management did not give up and completed the series in a very short time. A total of six episodes are planned.

2. Silo Season 2

Release Date: November 15

Launched in the spring of 2023, the Apple TV+ dystopia was based on a series of books by author Hugh Howey. The project quickly gained a loyal following.

We will soon find out what awaits the characters outside the bunker – the second season is scheduled for release in mid-November. A total of ten episodes are planned. Rebecca Ferguson will be joined by Rashida Jones, Tim Robbins and Steve Zahn.

3. Arcane Season 2

Release Date: November 9

The League of Legends adaptation debuted on the big screen in 2021 and quickly became the most popular animated series on Netflix. The story of sisters caught up in a war between the metropolis of Piltover and the underground city of Zaun has amazed both visually and story-wise.

The farewell to Arcane will take place in three stages, on November 9, 16 and 23: three episodes will be released on each of the announced dates. Despite the end, series co-creator Christian Linke assured that fans can expect more stories based on League of Legends.

4. Secret Level

Release Date: December 10

Don't be sad about Arcane's absence: in December, Amazon will release Secret Level, a new anthology from the creator of Love Death + Robots, Tim Miller.

Each of the 15 episodes is set in the world of video games: Armored Core, Pac-Man, Warhammer 40,000, The Outer Worlds, CrossFire, Dungeons & Dragons and others.

5. Severance Season 2

Release Date: January 17

Ben Stiller and the team behind Severance, an intense corporate sci-fi and one of the biggest discoveries of 2022, took three years off.

According to the plot, the mysterious Lumon Corporation forces its employees to separate their personal and professional memories. One of the employees, Mark, suspects that something is wrong and, together with his colleagues, begins to uncover a conspiracy.

Both strikes and behind-the-scenes creative differences prevented a release of the second season. As a result, Severance will return after the Christmas holidays with new twists and turns and a cast of famous actors, including Gwendoline Christie and Bob Balaban.
