Alfie Williams Eyes Dead Space Movie Role After 28 Years Later
Alfie Williams, rising star of 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, shares his passion for Dead Space and his dream of playing Isaac Clarke in a potential film adaptation.
Alfie Williams, who’s about to make waves with his second major film, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, is already looking ahead to what might come next. Even though the movie hasn’t hit theaters in the United States yet, Williams is thinking big—especially when it comes to his love for video games and the possibility of bringing one to life on the big screen.
In a recent conversation, Williams revealed he’s been spending a lot of time with the classic survival horror game Dead Space. The young actor, recently named best newcomer of 2025 by GamesRadar+, didn’t hide his excitement about the idea of starring in a movie adaptation of the game. When asked about his gaming habits, Williams shared,
"I've been sticking to the classics,"
as the interviewer joked about rallying fans to support the idea of him taking on the role.
Dreaming of Isaac Clarke and Beyond
During a separate interview, the 15-year-old opened up about his dream role. He said he’d love to play Isaac Clarke, the main character in Dead Space, if a live-action version ever gets made.
"But I would have to wait a while, since the character is like 40 years old!"
Williams admitted, showing both his enthusiasm and a bit of humor about the age gap. He also mentioned another dream: starring in a Western.
"One day, I would absolutely love to be in a Western. I just think it would be amazing. My favorite Western is Young Guns and I would love to play Billy the Kid if they ever made a remake of that film."
The Legacy of Dead Space
Dead Space, first released in 2008 and remade in 2023, follows engineer Isaac Clarke as he boards the USG Ishimura after receiving a mysterious message from his girlfriend, Nicole. The mining ship has gone silent, and rumors swirl about a deadly virus and a strange alien artifact discovered on the planet Aegis VII. As Isaac explores the wreckage, he uncovers dark secrets, a fanatical cult, and faces off against terrifying Necromorphs—reanimated corpses of the ship’s former crew.
With Hollywood increasingly turning to video games for inspiration, the idea of a Dead Space movie doesn’t seem far-fetched. Williams’ passion for the game and his desire to play Isaac Clarke could make him a strong contender if the project ever gets off the ground.

For those interested in what’s coming, there’s plenty of buzz around upcoming video game movies that could soon hit the big screen.
