5 Clever Easter Eggs From A Minecraft Movie You Didn't Notice

Resource mining, standard Minecraft day, and the saving bucket.
A Minecraft Movie is a huge hit, praised by fans for its quirky jokes and colorful visuals. But the movie is getting more attention for its wealth of curious Easter eggs.
1. Artifacts and Inhabitants of the Minecraft World
There's almost nothing new in the movie that you won't find in the game. For example, the magical artifacts Orb of Dominance and Earth Crystal are taken directly from Minecraft. In the game, the Orb gave the Arch-Illager incredible power, allowing him to subjugate various creatures.
The Arch-Illager himself did not appear here. Steve and company saved the Overworld from the leader of the Piglins, Queen Malgosha. She rules the Nether World, but wants to enslave the Overworld and destroy all creativity. The villain was created specifically for the movie, although she looks like the game's villain, The Seer.
You can also meet familiar sheep from the game, and creepers – explosive and silent mobs, as well as zombies and chickens in the movie. Even more: a rare character from the game, a zombie rider, appeared – a child zombie riding a chicken.
2. Rescue Bucket
In Minecraft, you can throw a bucket of water under your feet to cushion a fall from a great height. This trick was repeated in the movie. Steve saved himself, Garrett and Henry. Though he slightly disturbed the cute pandas, who reproduce simply by eating bamboo – this feature was also taken from the game.
3. Crafting and Resource Mining
Minecraft fans love the game for its creative freedom. The maps are always different, as are the ways you can interact with places. In the block world, you can build different structures, collect resources and craft tools, hunt, and simply explore.
The movie kept the elements of building, searching for loot and even the canonical crafting, recreating the classic inventory – it is repeated by a board divided into squares.
The collection of resources is visualized in a particularly amusing way. In one scene, a single piece of wood turns into a small floating block. The extraction of resources in the game looks exactly the same.
4. 20 Minute Days
While traveling through the Overworld, Steve and his friends noticed that a day here lasts only 20 minutes: 10 minutes of day and 10 minutes of night. In the dark, dangerous zombies roam the area. This is a standard day in Minecraft.
5. Alex From the Movie's Post-Credits Scene
In a post-credits scene, Steve returns to the real world and goes to his childhood home. He is greeted by a red-haired girl dressed in green named Alex.
Fans have speculated that this is Alex, another Minecraft character. Director Jared Hess has confirmed the theory and said that Alex will appear in a possible sequel to the movie.
