Yolanda Hadid and Daughter Bella Make a Rare Red Carpet Comeback
Yolanda Hadid made a rare return to the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, the RHOBH alum, 62, blazing in a scarlet cinched-waist dress with silver jewels as daughter Bella, 29, shimmered beside her in a gold Elie Saab gown on Monday, May 18.

The rare mother- daughter walk
On Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Chopard Miracle Gala Evening during the Cannes Film Festival, Yolanda Hadid, 62, made a rare appearance alongside her daughter Bella Hadid, 29. Yolanda went bold in a bright red, cinched-waist dress with silver earrings and a coordinating necklace. Bella countered with old-school glam: a gold Elie Saab gown.
This was their first joint red carpet since October 2022, when they attended the God’s Love We Deliver 16th Annual Golden Heart Awards in New York City. It has been a minute.
Bella made it a family weekend
The night before, Sunday, May 17, Bella brought her brother Anwar Hadid to a screening of the French drama Another Day at the festival. For that red carpet, she wore a strapless satin gown in a pale gray shade with a bejeweled bodice and a sweeping train. Her hair was styled in an updo by OLAPLEX Ambassador Jacob Schwartz.
Where Yolanda has been and what changed
- Yolanda largely stepped back from the spotlight after her 2016 divorce from David Foster. Foster later married American Idol alum Katharine McPhee, and before that he was married to B.J. Cook, Rebecca Dyer, and Linda Thompson.
- Before Foster, Yolanda was married to real estate developer Mohamed Hadid from 1994 to 2000. They share three kids: Gigi, Bella, and Anwar.
- In August 2024, Yolanda revealed she was engaged to her boyfriend of five years, Joseph Jingoli. She said Jingoli, then 66, had actually proposed back in 2022 during a trip to her native Holland.
- That engagement quietly ended. In January 2025, People reported the two had split amicably and never made it down the aisle.
About that RHOBH comeback
If you are hoping Yolanda’s red carpet return means a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills return, do not hold your breath. In an October 2022 chat with Entertainment Tonight, she made it pretty clear filming the Bravo show did not work for her life. She first told the world about her chronic Lyme disease in December 2012, and says the illness made her time on the series brutal from the start.
"The first season I went on, I was diagnosed with neurological Lyme disease, and I struggled every day of the season... I did not know Lyme disease was a life sentence. And now, here we are 10, 12 years later, I am still struggling with it."
She also said she never felt like she was working with a full set of brains while filming because of the ongoing symptoms, and that it stung to hear castmates speculate about her health. It was not just hurtful to her, she said, but to her kids and family who watched her fight it. Bottom line: that experience left a bad taste.
