Saoirse Ronan isn’t biting on the James Bond rumors swirling around husband Jack Lowden.

Inside their house, the 007 chatter is a nonstarter. In a new sit-down with the Associated Press, Saoirse Ronan said the constant buzz linking her husband Jack Lowden to James Bond doesn’t even make the dinner-table cut.

“We’re kind of getting on with our life, to be honest. We have plenty of other things to be dealing with. So, yeah, it ’s not really a subject that’s coming up in our house, to be honest,” said Ronan.

Ronan and Lowden, who began dating in 2018, married in 2024 and welcomed their first child in September 2025 . Asked about the swell of fan theories — and one particularly loud cheer from a very famous colleague — Ronan kept it dry:

“Well, Gary Oldman thinks he’s James Bond.”

For now, Lowden’s focus is firmly on the job he already has. Ronan told AP he’s busy filming Slow Horses and is “currently having a good time on that.” The Apple TV+ espionage thriller is in its sixth season.

The Bond race

Lowden’s name has been in the mix as speculation swirls around who will replace Daniel Craig , who wrapped his five-film run with No Time to Die in 2021. In August, television personality Richard Osman publicly suggested Lowden was a serious frontrunner, further juicing the rumor mill.

He’s hardly alone on the betting boards. Other frequently mentioned contenders include:

  • Callum Turner
  • Harris Dickinson
  • Jacob Elordi
  • Jack O’Connell

Industry reports have linked the next Bond movie to Amazon MGM Studios, with Denis Villeneuve floated as director and Steven Knight attached to write — none of which has been officially announced by the franchise ’s producers.

Meanwhile, Slow Horses season 6 is streaming on Apple TV+.
