Where to watch The Poughkeepsie Tapes, the 2007 horror film?
Can’t track down the 2007 film The Poughkeepsie Tapes—here’s the no-fuss way to watch it.
Got it on your spooky-season list? The 2007 shocker The Poughkeepsie Tapes is streaming now on Tubi, but it won’t be there for long — the title rotates off the service at the end of the month.
Leaves Tubi on September 30.
The film is staged like a true-crime documentary, but the story is fictional. It pieces together police interviews, mock news segments and chilling “found” footage to chronicle an investigation into a serial killer named Edward Carver — a predator who recorded his crimes and left behind a cache of videotapes discovered in Poughkeepsie, New York.
That collage of grainy visuals and talking heads is the whole point: it blurs the line between doc and horror movie so thoroughly that it’s often mistaken for the real thing. It isn’t. No real cases are depicted, and the characters are invented for the film.
