Looking for it now? In the U.S. you can rent Pervert Park on Prime Video and Apple TV . The 2014 feature heads inside Palace Mobile Park in St. Petersburg, Florida — a community nicknamed “Pervert Park” — where more than 100 convicted sex offenders live under the same rules and restrictions.
It earned the 2015 Sundance World Cinema Documentary Special Jury Award for Impact.
The filmmakers, Swedish-Danish duo Frida and Lasse Barkfors, first learned about the park in a Danish newspaper. They visited in 2010, found a community very different from what they expected, and kept coming back; the project took nearly four years to complete.
Before its U.S. TV debut, the documentary premiered at the Copenhagen International Documentary Festival. It later reached American public television as part of PBS’s documentary strand POV.
