An intricate detective story, a fantasy tale, and a project about mental health.

Jung So-min made her acting debut in 2010 with the TV series Bad Guy, and a few months later she landed her first lead role – in the Korean adaptation of the Japanese manga Playful Kiss.

Now Jung So-min is one of the most popular Korean actresses, who continues to add to her filmography with TV hits.

1. The Smile Has Left Your Eyes, 2018

Yoo Jin-gook works as a detective. He is investigating a suicide that he believes is not what it seems. During the investigation, a mysterious young man appears who is somehow connected to the case.

According to the detective, this man has an extraordinary memory and an unconventional view of current events. Meanwhile, a series of circumstances lead to a meeting between the detective's sister, Yoo Jin-kang (Jung So-min), and the young man. They are attracted to each other, but secrets from the past bring a lot of pain to their relationship.

2. What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, 2018

Secretary Kim Mi-so has been working for the selfish CEO of a large corporation for nine years. When the boss learns that his loyal partner is planning to quit, he suddenly realizes that his feelings for the colleague go beyond business ethics.

What's Wrong with Secretary Kim is an exemplary office romance about a self-centered rich man and his subordinate. Unlike most similar dramas, it focuses on the gradual development of their relationship and not on the difficult trials that they face on their way to a happy ending.

This drama was one of the most popular not only in Korea but also worldwide, and Jung So-min appeared here in a cameo – she played a young version of the main character's mother.

3. Soul Mechanic, 2020-...

Lee Shi-joon is a psychiatrist who finds eccentric ways for his patients to deal with their mental illnesses and traumas. He meets Han Woo-joo (Jung So-min), an actress who often has emotional breakdowns. Shi-joon begins to work with her to help her recover.

The love and devotion Lee Shi-joon feels for Woo-joo warms her heart. The psychiatrist takes it upon himself to stand by her side and help her overcome her problems.

4. Alchemy of Souls, 2022-...

In the fictional state of Daeho, mages live among mere mortals. An elite warrior and assassin inhabits the body of a servant of an influential nobleman. She teaches the rich man not only martial arts, but also magic.

The world of the series, the locations and the costumes of the characters are so detailed and original that it seems as if the authors have adapted a Korean fantasy book. There is romance, the struggle of mages for world power, and bright action scenes with sword fights.

Jung So-min plays the main character named Mu-deok.
