Twilight’s pull with new generations stuns Robert Pattinson: “I can’t actually believe it”
Robert Pattinson weighs in on Twilight’s new generation of fans — and he didn’t exactly see it coming.
In a fresh bit of déjà vu, the original Twilight surged to No. 5 on Netflix ’s U.S. movie chart in October 2026, pulling a new wave of viewers into Forks. Asked about the comeback in a chat with the Associated Press, Robert Pattinson said even he’s taken aback by how the saga keeps finding younger fans years after its theatrical run.
“It ’s amazing. I can’t actually believe how many waves of new generations being so into it, it’s wonderful.”
He even sounds game for a personal rewatch.
“I can’t wait to watch them all again. A nice little weekend.”
Adapted from Stephenie Meyer’s bestseller, the 2008 film introduced Bella Swan and Edward Cullen’s stormy romance against a moody Pacific Northwest backdrop — vampires, werewolves and all. Online, the series has found a second (or third) life via TikTok edits, soundtrack nostalgia and renewed love for its late-2000s aesthetic, which helps explain why it keeps spiking on streaming beyond pure throwback appeal.

What he’s been up to
Since the Cullen years, Pattinson has chased stranger, thornier roles — from the Safdies’ Good Time to Robert Eggers’ The Lighthouse — before putting on the cowl in Matt Reeves ’ The Batman .
- Dune: Part Three — Pattinson plays Scytale; currently set for December 18, 2026.
