Scandal-tested Vanderpump Rules alum Tom Schwartz has a blunt playbook for Summer House’s Amanda Batula and West Wilson ahead of the season 10 reunion: master the timeline and keep it honest.

Tom Schwartz is passing out homework ahead of the Summer House season 10 reunion, and it boils down to two things: know your receipts and tell the truth. The Vanderpump Rules veteran has been through enough televised crossfire to know what works, and what blows up in your face.

"Get your timelines right and just be honest."

Schwartz to Amanda and West: rip off the Band-Aid

In an interview on Wednesday, April 22, while he was promoting season 3 of The Valley, Schwartz, 43, said Amanda Batula, 34, and West Wilson, 31, need to be upfront at the reunion — even if it stings. His logic is simple: the truth comes out anyway, and Bravo fans have degrees in sleuthing. If there was fallout, acknowledge who got hurt and why. It is not fun, but it is cleaner.

Yes, he learned this the hard way

Schwartz admitted he botched his own timeline back at the VPR season 10 reunion, when Tom Sandoval and Rachel "Raquel" Leviss’s affair detonated the cast. When the news broke in March 2023, Sandoval, 43, and Leviss, 31, had been hooking up, and Sandoval and Ariana Madix ended their nine-year relationship. On the reunion that aired spring 2023, Schwartz said Sandoval told him about the affair in "late August" 2022. Sandoval told Andy Cohen he did not tell Schwartz until January. Schwartz now says he genuinely did not remember the dates — his life was "unraveling" at the time, a not-so-subtle nod to his 2022 divorce from Katie Maloney — but he concedes he probably should have nailed that down.

Also, apparently Paige is the reunion whisperer

Schwartz tossed in an unironically solid tip: do what Jesse Solomon did and talk to Paige DeSorbo. Jesse, 32, said on Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday, April 21, that he has been in touch with Paige and she gave him advice on how to handle the reunion. Schwartz even joked that past-him should have consulted Paige too. Not the worst idea.

Why everyone is side-eyeing the Amanda/West timeline

Here is where the temperature spiked: Amanda and West confirmed they are dating in March. That alone would be a story, but the context is messy — and the cast and fans are clocking the dates.

  • Two months earlier, Amanda and Kyle Cooke, 43, said they ended their four-year marriage.
  • West previously dated Ciara Miller, 30, in 2023. They had been trying to rebuild a friendship.
  • A source said on April 3 that West and Ciara were hooking up as recently as about three to four weeks prior — and that Ciara did not know about Amanda.
  • West denied any "overlap" for either him or Amanda on the Monday, April 20 episode of his "Show Me Something" podcast.
  • Fans are still dubious about the timeline, and a separate source said on Wednesday that the cast just wants the reunion over already. The vibe: frustrated but curious, and not convinced Amanda and West will cough up the full truth. Some in the house think parts of the story are still being spun.

Schwartz’s final word (and a friendly warning)

Schwartz says he knows Amanda and West are good people, but they owe straight answers to the group — especially Kyle and Ciara. What is making it worse, in his view, is the secrecy. Or, as he put it, it is the not-being-upfront part that keeps inflaming things. He half-joked he should probably stop talking before he gets himself in trouble, then landed on the same note he started with: honesty is the path of least resistance.

Or, in his words: "Just be honest, it’s so much easier."

Summer House airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. Schwartz is currently on The Valley, Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
