Secretly wed? Tom Holland and Zendaya have the internet in overdrive after Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach said at the March 2026 Actor Awards they tied the knot, sending fans poring over ring photos for proof.

Tom Holland and Zendaya might be married. Or not. The internet is fully convinced one minute, rolling its eyes the next, and honestly, I get why. A stylist said one thing, a mom posted a cryptic Story, a ring showed up (and disappeared), and an AI wedding photo fooled a lot of people. Here is what actually happened and what is just noise.

Where the rumor started (and why it exploded)

In March 2026, Zendaya's longtime stylist Law Roach told press at the Actor Awards that Zendaya and Tom had already gotten married. He did not hedge. When asked about a wedding dress, he doubled down to Access Hollywood, and later, when Extra's Terri Seymour tried to get him to walk it back at the 2026 Oscars, he smiled and basically said he was sticking to it.

Zendaya's mom, Claire Stoermer, then tossed a little gasoline on the fire by reposting a clip of Roach's interview on Instagram Stories with the caption 'The laugh...' and a laughing emoji. Not exactly a denial.

Meanwhile, about two weeks before Roach's first comments, Zendaya was seen out on February 18 wearing what looked a lot like a simple gold band instead of her usual engagement ring. The day after Roach's claim, Tom popped up in a photo shared by E! News without a ring on his left hand. His right hand stayed stuffed in his pocket, which did not help anybody's detective work.

Then an image raced around X showing the two of them at an altar in a white gown and tux, swapping rings. It looked real enough to spark a minor meltdown, but even the post itself carried a disclaimer that the picture was made with AI.

As of now, neither Zendaya nor Tom has confirmed anything about a wedding. Outlets have asked their reps for comment. Crickets.

Zendaya finally weighed in (sort of)

Zendaya addressed the mess on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in March 2026. She did not say yes or no about a wedding. She did, however, make it clear those viral photos were not legit:

'People are like, "Oh, my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous!" I was like, "Babe, they’re AI! They’re not real!"'

A few weeks later on the New York Times 'Modern Love' podcast in April, she explained why she is not playing whack-a-mole with every rumor. In short: she knows people are invested because they grew up watching her and Tom, but she still wants some parts of their life to stay theirs. Boundaries, but not hostility. Makes sense.

About that engagement

The engagement has never been formally announced either, but the tea leaves have been bold. Zendaya flashed a diamond ring at the Golden Globes in January 2025. After that, Tom's dad, Dominic Holland, posted on Patreon that same month that Tom had meticulously planned the proposal: he had the when, where, what to say, what to wear, bought a ring, and even asked Zendaya's father for permission beforehand. So yes, the family chatter points to an engagement, even if Tom and Zendaya themselves are keeping it low-key.

How we got here: the quick version

  • 2016: They meet filming Spider- Man: Homecoming. Dating rumors kick in immediately.
  • July 2021: Paparazzi catch PDA in Los Angeles, finally confirming the romance after years of 'just friends' talk. A source at the time said they were close friends first and that it turned romantic later.
  • January 2025: Zendaya wears a diamond ring to the Golden Globes. Tom's dad writes on Patreon that Tom had planned the proposal down to the details and asked her father for permission.
  • February 18, 2026: Zendaya is spotted wearing what looks like a gold wedding band instead of the engagement ring during a night out.
  • March 2026: At the Actor Awards, stylist Law Roach claims the wedding already happened. Zendaya's mom posts 'The laugh...' with a clip of that interview.
  • Late March 2026: At the Oscars, Roach declines to clarify and says he stands by it. The next day, Tom is photographed without a ring on his left hand.
  • Late March 2026: A wedding photo of the pair goes viral on X but is labeled as AI-generated.
  • March 2026: On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Zendaya calls out the AI photos and does not confirm or deny the marriage.
  • April 2026: On the NYT 'Modern Love' podcast, Zendaya explains why she is not addressing the marriage rumors head-on and talks about keeping some things private.

Privacy is the whole point

Zendaya laid it out back in January 2026 in an interview with The Mirror: she and Tom want to live like normal people when they can, but they also draw firm lines around their private life. That has not changed.

Bottom line

Right now, we have one very confident stylist, a mom with a winking IG Story, a ring swap that may or may not mean anything, a photo proven to be AI, and two very famous people who prefer to keep their relationship to themselves. If a wedding happened, it was fully off the grid. Until they say it out loud, it is rumor territory—loud, persistent rumor territory, but rumor all the same.
