Three months out, ‘Avengers Doomsday’ already bags $50M toward a strong start
Avengers: Doomsday is already racking up eye-popping advance ticket sales months ahead of its December release, a surge that screams Marvel may have its next blockbuster.
Disney is already banking early interest in Avengers: Doomsday. At the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference, Disney CFO Hugh Johnston said the movie has pulled in $50 million in advance ticket sales with about three months to go before its December 18 release.

What’s even more unusual: Disney says roughly 70% of those pre-sales are for premium auditoriums under its new Infinity Vision certification—big screens, laser projection, and immersive audio. It ’s a push to frame Doomsday as a must-see-in-theaters event after a stretch where some Marvel titles struggled to feel essential.
A stacked lineup
The cast is built to move the needle. Robert Downey Jr. returns to Marvel—this time as Doctor Doom—while Chris Evans is back as Steve Rogers. Marvel’s official listing also points to the return of major X-Men and Fantastic Four characters, setting up one of the MCU ’s biggest crossovers to date.

The early sales give Marvel a concrete sign that the event-movie aura can still draw crowds, especially with legacy stars and a deep bench sharing the screen.
Secret Wars adds a wildcard
Marvel also slipped in a future tease: Noah Jupe has joined Avengers: Secret Wars in a mystery role. Jupe is known for A Quiet Place and Hamnet, and he recently shared the stage with Sadie Sink in Romeo & Juliet on London’s West End. Fans have connected dots between that pairing and Sink’s new MCU ties, but Marvel hasn’t said who Jupe is playing.
Online theories are already circling—Franklin Richards, the Beyonder and other multiversal heavy-hitters among them—but none are confirmed. Avengers: Secret Wars is slated for December 17, 2027 .
