The Real Reason Meagan Good Rehomed Her Cat After Marrying Jonathan Majors
Meagan Good says marriage to Jonathan Majors came with an unexpected sacrifice—her cat—revealed on the Picture This podcast.
Meagan Good just explained why her cat didn’t make it into the blended family when she married Jonathan Majors — and yes, it involved puppies, bed messes, and a very clear choice.
What happened with Bam Bam
On the 'Picture This' podcast on Wednesday, April 8, Good, 44, was asked to name something she ended up letting go of more easily than she expected. Her answer: her cat, Bam Bam.
When she and Majors, 36, moved in together, he already had two dogs. Then they added a third puppy. That was the final straw for Bam Bam, who started using their bed as a bathroom. Good tried to hang on — this was her cat, after all — but the new puppy pushed the situation past the breaking point.
'I chose the man.'
- Majors brought two dogs into the relationship
- They added a third dog; Bam Bam started peeing in the bed
- Good rehomed Bam Bam
- Fast-forward: they now have four dogs total — all Belgian Malinois, very high energy, very effective home security
Where the relationship is now
Good and Majors have been together since 2023. They got engaged in November 2024 and tied the knot the following year. In June 2025, Good told Us Weekly she was simply happy — she loves that he’s goofy, always conks out mid-movie, and is up for spontaneous adventures. She also said she’s ready to start a family with him. Majors already has a 13-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, and Good made it clear she wants kids too, ideally two of them. With four Malinois in the house already — which she described as extremely hyper — she joked the home is very, very safe.
Majors on marrying Good
Majors confirmed their marriage during a March 2025 appearance with Sherri Shepherd and did not undersell how he feels about it.
'Today might be the happiest day of my life. I love that woman so much.'
